Emergence Code Nine: Let the Becoming Become You
As you remain faithful to your path, let your present unfolding reshape your narrative, your choices, your life.
As a coach, I’ve worked with clients who have a vision of the self who will be, do and have attainments wished for and dreamt about. The person who begins the journey does not yet embody the behaviors and qualities to operate within that goal of becoming. Sometimes, despite the transformative aha's and new truths which arise during the process, she can still feel like she is buffering and not making progress—because it's usually imperceptible.
But change can be subtle and new beliefs must be practiced to become embedded. It often takes a somatic experience—in the body- to feel different, to see the effects of new decisions and shifts in attitude. Sometimes we awaken to the changes in ourselves through the reactions and comments of others who experience the new or different about us. Sometimes there is a shift of power - to empowerment.
During my own continuing experience as a coaching client starting five years ago, I can clearly now see that I have changed—and my words and actions demonstrate the consistent confidence long sought to live life on my own terms. I evolved from a day to day life wired to think and acting as a corporate attorney responding with pavlovian vigor to one who proactively communicates from her heart, honed by a practiced mind, and guided by a fierce inner voice. I cannot pinpoint how and when it happened, but it did.
So if you find yourself wondering whether anything is working—stay close. Your shift is in motion. Your soul knows the way even when your mind doesn’t see the map.
This Emergence Code Nine operates in the invisible realm. It is your ultimate blessing as it is the surefooted journey of your becoming.
Opening Invocation
There is a hush before embodiment.
A holy stillness after the long slow burn of becoming.
You may not even notice it at first.
It doesn’t arrive with fireworks or a declaration.
No trumpet sounds when your soul quietly takes its place at the center of your life.
But something begins to shift.
You find yourself speaking differently.
Making choices with more clarity.
Saying no without apology.
Saying yes without delay.
It’s subtle, yet unmistakable:
The practice is becoming the presence.
The vision is becoming your voice.
The inner light has taken form.
This is what you prayed for.
What you bled for.
What you devoted yourself to when no one was watching.
Let the becoming become you now.
The Real-Life Tension Before Embodiment
You’ve been on the path.
You’ve practiced devotion, softness, discernment.
You’ve released people, patterns, perfectionism.
But now you’re at a strange and unfamiliar threshold.
You can feel that you’ve grown…
But the world around you hasn’t caught up.
And maybe you haven’t let it.
You still find yourself:
Laughing at things you don’t think are funny, just to make others comfortable
Taking too long to write a one-line email because your old self is afraid of being “too direct”
Saying “let me think about it” when your body already gave you a no
Sitting at tables where you no longer belong, but where your belonging used to be tied
You’re no longer in crisis. You’re not in chaos. You’ve done the work.
And yet, stepping out fully as this new version of you feels...
exposed. fragile. disorienting.
You may even wonder: Is anything really happening?
Why don’t I feel more different, more radiant, more arrived?
But evolution is rarely dramatic in the moment.
It's cellular, subtle.
It reveals itself in the slow grace of new choices—and the quiet courage of small shifts sustained over time.
The shell cracks slowly. And only when the soul inside is ready for light.
The Hidden Challenge of Emergence
This is the part no one warns you about.
It’s not that you’re stuck.
It’s that you’re scared to live as the version of you who is no longer stuck.
Because if you do…
People might not recognize you
You’ll no longer have your old excuses
You might outgrow roles that once defined you
You’ll need to uphold new boundaries—and that means confronting discomfort
There’s grief here.
There’s confrontation.
There’s the sobering realization that everything changes when you do.
And yes—there may be self-doubt.
There may be days when you feel like nothing is moving.
But you are not failing. You are incubating.
Your inner chick will hatch.
Hold the shell of your old life with care, and trust the sacred pressure of your becoming.
What This Phase Feels Like
You say “I’m not available for that anymore” and your voice shakes—but you don’t walk it back.
You show up to a room and feel a visceral disconnection from the old performance self.
You start dressing in a way that reflects how you feel inside, even if it confuses people.
You finally introduce your work, your art, your business with clarity and no downplaying.
You let silence exist in conversations rather than filling them to make others comfortable.
You write the post, launch the offer, say the words—before you feel “ready.”
These aren’t grand gestures.
They’re micro-acts of embodiment.
They are the proof of persistence.
They are the building blocks of belief.
Embodiment is not a mood—it’s a muscle. And you build it by lifting one choice at a time.
How to Build the Scaffolding for Your New Narrative
Just like a butterfly doesn’t immediately take off after emerging from the cocoon,
you too need a gentle structure to support your becoming until it stabilizes in your body and life.
1. Create Ritual Anchors
A daily grounding question like: "What does my truest self want today?"
A short check-in journal: How did I live as the one I’ve become today?
2. Redefine Your Circles
Spend time with people who already see who you’re becoming.
Reduce time in environments that only reflect your past self.
3. Craft a New Inner Narrative
Replace old thoughts like: "Who do I think I am?"
with: "This is who I now am—and I honor her."
4. Build Visible Evidence
Let your calendar, conversations, and commitments reflect your inner shift.
Visibility creates stability. Living it outwardly helps root it inwardly.
The Threshold of Integration
Many people never cross this threshold.
They do the healing.
They do the visioning.
They stay in practice mode.
But embodiment is different.
It’s the moment you stop acting “as if” and begin being as is.
It’s when you stop tiptoeing around your light
and allow it to inform how you walk, speak, choose, and lead.
This is where transformation becomes transmission.
Signs You’re Ready (Even if You Don’t Feel Ready)
You’ve stopped outsourcing your worth.
You’re no longer lit up by superficial validation.
You feel tenderly fierce about your time and energy.
You have lost interest in playing small—even if you're still afraid.
You can’t un-know what you now know.
These are soul signals. Not ego signals.
They whisper, not shout.
They say: “You are becoming the one we need. Step forward.”
You don’t have to perform.
You only need to embody.
Live your insights.
Align your actions.
Move in integrity with the truth you now carry.
This is how you radiate.
This is how you lead.
This is how others find their way.
By watching you become.
The woman you are becoming is already within you—she’s simply waiting for permission to take the lead.
Reflection + Practice Invitation
A Soul Mirror Prompt:
Where in your life are you still hiding the person you’ve become?
What would change if you let the becoming take the lead?
What would your day look like if you made decisions as the one you’ve become—not the one you used to be?
Simple Practice:
Each morning, ask:
"How would I walk through today as the one I’ve already become?"
Then follow through in one small, faithful way.
You’re not making it up.
You’ve done the work.
You don’t have to keep explaining yourself to your past.
You’re allowed to move differently now.
Let the Becoming Become You.
Still Becoming,
Angelique
